Full Time Therapy

(for patients with the insurance coverage by the National Health Fund)

1A. Early rehabilitation at health-resort hospital

Duration: 28 days

for whom: for patients after hospital treatment.

referral: issued by a hospital ward doctor after hospitalization is finished.

costs: rehabilitation takes place within the framework of a medical certificate for sick leave issued by a health-resort doctor and it is free-of-charge. An insured patient is referred to the hospital. A patient has to cover only the cost of return fare to the resort. Food, accommodation and medical treatments are funded by the National Health Fund.

benefits: a patient is provided with 24-hour medical and nursing care, 5 or more treatments per day for 6 days a week, on condition of the medical indication.

1B. Early rehabilitation in the sanatorium

Duration: 28 days

for whom: for patients on the annual leave.

referral: issued by a doctor on the basis of health insurance confirmed by the Local Department of the National Health Fund.

costs: stay at a sanatorium is partly payable and the payment depends on a season and room standard, in which a patient stays.

benefits: patients are provided with 24-hour medical and nursing care. Treatments are offered 6 days a week in two daily cycles – in the morning and in the afternoon within 5 days and in 1 cycle on Saturday.

2. Health-resort hospital treatment

Duration: 21 days

For whom: continuation of the post-hospital rehabilitation after hospital treatment

Application form: issued by a hospital doctor or a doctor having a relevant contract with the National Health Fund, including attachments such as patient discharge sheets from the hospital

costs: stay at a health-resort hospital is free-of-charge, within the framework of a medical certificate for sick leave issued by a health-resort doctor. A patient referred to the hospital has to cover only the cost of return fare to the resort. Food, accommodation and medical treatments are funded by National Health Fund.

benefits: patients are provided with 24-hour medical and nursing care. Three or more treatments are provided per day for 6 days a week.

3. Health-resort sanatorium treatment

duration: 21 days

for whom: patients on an annual leave

Application form: issued by a General Practitioner or specialist having signed a relevant contract with the National Health Fund

costs: the stay is partially payable. A patient bears the costs of return fare and a part of costs of food and accommodation - the amount of payment depends on the room standard and the season. Medical treatments are funded by the National Health Fund.

benefits: patients are provided with 24-hour medical and nursing care. Three treatments or more are provided daily for 6 days a week.

Outpatient therapy

duration: 6 to 18 days of treatment

referral: an insured person receives a referral to a health-resort treatment at the health-resort clinic, the costs being covered by the National Health Fund

costs: patients cover the costs of accommodation, food and travel.

benefits: the Local Department of the National Health Fund provides 3 treatments on a daily basis

Patients referred to an outpatient health-resort treatment agree for the starting date of health-resort treatment after they have received a referral, not later than 14 days prior to the starting date of treatment. In the case of outpatient health-resort treatment, the patient co-decides on the selection of a health-resort out of those, with which the contracts have been concluded, and chooses the term of health-resort treatment. The health-resort confirms the starting date of treatment agreed with a patient in a written or electronic form

Fully paid health-resort treatments:

Health-resort stay:

An up-to-date medical examination report on ESR, morphology, urine, ECG, chest X-ray will serve the basis for the treatment.

A patient selects the location, resort and date of treatment. A patient also covers the medical expenses, costs of accommodation and meals. The cost of stay per one person depends on the facility standard and includes accommodation, full board, up to 4 treatments per day during the week and 24-hour health care.

Outpatient treatment:

An up-to-date medical examination report on ESR, morphology, urine, ECG and chest X-ray will serve the basis for the treatment.

Costs of stay depend on the duration of the stay (from 6 to 18 days of treatment) and additional treatments. Patients are accommodated in private pension houses. They are required to pay for a medical check-up and treatments prescribed by a doctor.
